Lady Eagles Rank 12th After First Day at USF Tourney
The Southern Miss women's golf team placed 12th, shooting a first-round 320, on the first day at the Beacon Woods Invitational, at the Beacon Woods Golf Club, in Bayonet Point, Fla.
Brena Quaranto and Ofelia Lopez share 38th place to lead the Lady Eagles, each scoring 79.
Natasha Vincent and Ashlea Deener share 50th, as they both scored a first-round 81. Jennifer Keefe tied for 66th, carding 84.
Host University of South Florida joins Mississippi, Memphis and Tulane at the top of the leaderboard after with a 300 on the first day. Competition continues at the Beacon Woods Golf Club in Bayonet Point, Fla., on Saturday and Sunday with 13 teams in the field.
