Lady Eagles Compete At Memphis Invitational
The Lady Eagle tennis team competed at the Memphis Varsity Tennis Shop Invitational this weekend.
Shawny Price played in the No. 1 singles bracket defeating Bambi McCann, Evansville, 6-2, 6-1, in the second round. Price was defeated in the semifinals.
Jennifer Sibille played in the No. 2 singles bracket defeating Abbie Hodge, Ball State, 2-6, 6-4. Sibille was also defeated in the semifinals.
Molly Boutreis played in the No. 3 singles bracket. After losing in the second round, Boutreis won two matches to make the semifinals of the consolation bracket. Boutreis was defeated by Anita Obando, Tennessee Tech, 6-4, 7-5.
Olivia Berry played in the No. 4 singles bracket and defeated Maja Russinova, Tennessee Tech, 7-5, 6-2, in the second round. Berry was defeated in the consolation bracket after losing in the third round.
Saranne Harrison played in the No. 5 singles bracket and lost in the finals to Cheryl Graham, Murray State, 6-2, 6-2.
Jessica Olson played in the No. 6 singles bracket and was defeated in both the second round and the consolation bracket.
The team did not play in doubles competition.
