Hall and Wiles named to C-USA All-Conference Teams
St. Louis, Mo. (Oct. 31) - For the second consecutive season, Charlotte's Jill Currie
has been named Conference USA Player of the Year. Marquette head coach
Markus Roeders, who led the Golden Eagles to their third C-USA regular
season championship in the last five years, was named Conference USA Coach
of the Year. Saint Louis goalkeeper Meghann Burke is the Defensive Player of the Year while
Memphis forward Jessica Gjertsen is the
Freshman of the Year.
The awards were voted upon by the 12 head coaches and
presented at the league's pre-tournament banquet on Tuesday night at the
Holiday Inn-Westport.
The 2000 Conference USA Tournament will be held Nov. 1-4 at Robert Hermann
Stadium in St. Louis, Mo. Live statistics, along with photos and stories
