Todd Makovicka serves as The Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Performance at Southern Miss.
Coach Mak works primarily with the Baseball program, while overseeing all of the Olympic Sports, the graduate assistants, and the Strength and Conditioning Budget.
In November of 2018, Coach Mak was promoted from Graduate Assistant to a full-time during his time at Southern Miss working with Football, Golf, and Track and Field programs.
The previous year, in 2017 Coach Mak was hired on as a Graduate Assistant primarily with Football and Golf.
Prior to Southern Miss, he worked as a Strength and Conditioning Intern at Stanford University and during his Undergraduate study at Missouri State University.
Coach Mak competed in Rugby with the St. Louis Royals and Springfield Mudpuppies as well as Mixed Martial Arts with USA Martial Arts and Springfield MMA.
The Cleveland, Ohio native graduated with his Bachelor's in Exercise Science from Missouri State University in 2016. In 2019, he graduated with his Master's in Exercise Science from Southern Miss. Coach Mak is currently married to Carly Makovicka, who is the Director of Operations for the Baseball Program at The University of Southern Mississippi.
