Andrea Stark joined the Southern Miss Student-Ahtlet Academic Services as an academic counselor in January of 2026.

Prior to Joining Southern Miss, she served in the Assistants Development Program at Baylor University as an Assistant Academic Coach, where she supported student-athletes competing in Acrobatics & Tumbling, Men's Basketball, and Football. Her work focused on academic success, personal development, and balancing the demands of high-level competition with coursework.

Prior to Baylor, Stark worked as a Graduate Assistant Track and Field Coach at MidAmerica Nazarene University, gaining hands-on experience in athletic administration and student support. Having been a collegiate track and field athlete for seven years, she brings a unique perspective to her work.

With experience spanning academic coaching, athletic administration, and competitive athletics, Stark is passionate about empowering student-athletes to excel both academically and athletically while preparing them for success beyond sport.

A native of Sacramento, California graduated with two Associates degrees (Communications and Social Sciences) from American River College. Earned her bachelor's in communications from the University of Nevada Reno and a Masters in Sports Administration from the University of Northern Colorado.
