Dauterive came to Southern Miss in February of 2019 to join the Golden Eagles as the Assistant Director of Sports Medicine.
Previously Dauterive was the Head Athletic Trainer for Nicholls State from January of 2015 to January of 2019.
Prior to serving the Colonels, he was the Head Athletic Trainer for East Mississippi Community College in Scooba, Miss. from July 2013 to January 2015. He was the Assistant Athletic Trainer there from July 2011 to June of 2013. While in Scooba, he was also an adjunct faculty member, teaching first aid, CPR and an introduction to athletic training to undergraduate students from August of 2013 to December of 2014.
He earned his Master's in Human Environmental Sciences from the University of Alabama in August of 2011, where he also served as a Graduate Assistant for Athletic Training, working mostly with the football program.
The Winona, Miss. native is a graduate of Southern Miss, earning his bachelor's in Human Performance and Recreation in May of 2009. He and his wife, Sarah, live in Hattiesburg.
