Selected Game Times/Television Designations Announced for 2026 Southern Miss Football Season

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Sun Belt Conference, in conjunction with its television partners, announced selected game times Wednesday afternoon for the 2026 Southern Miss football season.
The Golden Eagles open the year at home, Saturday, Sept. 5, against Alcorn State on ESPN+. The game will kick off at 4 p.m., from Carlisle-Faulkner Field at M.M. Roberts Stadium.
Southern Miss then travels the following week, Sept. 12, to Auburn for either a 6:30 p.m. or 6:45 p.m. kickoff which will be showcased on either ESPNU or the SEC Network.
Week three shows Connecticut coming to The Rock for a 6 p.m. contest, Saturday, Sept. 19, at 6 p.m. That game can be seen on ESPN+ as well.
First-year coach Blake Anderson opens Sun Belt play, Tuesday, Oct 6, at 7 p.m., at Troy. That game will be shown on ESPN2.
The Thursday, Nov. 5, home game versus James Madison, will take place at 7 p.m. and will be shown either on ESPN or ESPN2.
The Sun Belt Conference uses a 12-day out policy to announce game times and television networks for the remainder of the season for Southern Miss.
