2021 (Jr./Memphis): Appeared in four games against Mississippi State (9/18), Temple (10/2), Tulsa (10/9) and Navy (10/14)…Totaled two tackles and 0.5 tackles for loss.
2020 (So./Memphis): Member of the 8-3 Tigers who won the 2020 Cameiia Bowl…Appeared in nine games, earning four starts on the season…Totaled 19 tackles, 12 solo, to go with three TFL, one sack, three pass breakups and a pass breakup…Made a season-high four tackles in three-straight games against UCF, Temple and Cincinnati…Had a season-best 1.5 TFL and one sack in win over Temple.
2019 (Fr./Memphis): Played in 13 of 14 games in his first season at Memphis…Finished the year with 15 tackles, including eight solos, adding five quarterback hurries and two sacks…Recorded his first collegiate sacks against #16/15 SMU in a nationally televised game on ABC…His first collegiate sack came on second-and-6, when he sacked Shane Buechele for a loss of nine yards in a play that resulted in a punt two plays later…Got his second sack when he caught Buechele on third-and-5 in the fourth quarter, forcing a punt…Member of 2019 squad that finished with a 12-2 overall record, won the American Athletic Conference Championship and made an appearance in the 84th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic.
High School: Member of the Starkville High School varsity squad from 2016-18…Helped the Yellow Jackets to a combined 31-9 record and three-straight Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) Class 6A state playoff appearances…His last two seasons, Starkville put together back-to-back double-digit win campaigns (13-3 in 2017; 11-2 in 2018)…The 2017 squad lost in the MHSAA Class 6A state title game, and the 2018 team advanced to the state playoffs second round…In his three seasons on the Starkville defensive line, collected 180 total tackles (84 solo), 50 TFL, 21 sacks and 26 QB hurries…Recorded six forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries…Also had two receptions for 41 yards and one TD…As a senior, had 57 total stops (24 solo), 18 TFL, 12 QB hurries and seven sacks…Member of the Yellow Jackets’ defense that held opponents to 12 points a game…2018 honors included: Clarion Ledger All-State second team (DL), Mississippi Association of Coaches (MAC) Class 6A All-State first team, Tupelo Daily Journal Large School All-Area and Mississippi-Alabama Shrine Classic selection…Had a fumble recovery in the Classic that led to a TD to tie the game at 7-all…As a junior, had 2.5 sacks in the MHSAA Class 6A championship game…Earned 2017 MAC Class 6A All-State second team honors…As a sophomore in 2016, named to Columbus Dispatch All-Area second team.
