After Olivia Christian made quick work of three groundouts, one to herself and back-to-back 5-3 putouts keeping the momentum in the hands of Southern Miss. Gordon-Sivley picked up an RBI off a single to right bringing in Green, who reached base on a bunt-single, to tie the game. McManus hit a perfectly placed bloop single on the right field line bringing in two and giving the Golden Eagles the lead 6-4.
