
Southern Miss Announces 2025 Football Gameday Parking & Traffic Updates

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – With Golden Eagle football just around the corner, Southern Miss Athletics has announced important updates to game day parking, travel routes, and stadium access at M.M. Roberts Stadium. These changes are designed to ensure fans arrive safely and enjoy a smooth start to their game day experience.
Color-Coded Parking System
All season ticket holders with allocated parking can now access their parking passes through their online accounts. This year, Southern Miss has introduced a color-coded parking system to streamline entry into designated lots. While your assigned lot has not changed, the entry process has been updated.
Fans will need to display their assigned pass at the checkpoint and follow the highlighted routes on the provided map.

Updates to Travel Patterns
To help reduce congestion and improve traffic flow:
- Championship Drive will not be accessible from Highway 49 prior to kickoff. Fans must enter via 4th Street or Northwood Drive/Service Drive at the Hillcrest exit.
- Ray Guy Way from the roundabout to Lot 12 will be closed for pedestrian use only, supporting Spirit Park tailgating and festivities.
Postgame Traffic Flow
After the game, fans will exit their lots following the highlighted routes on the game day map. Barricades and police personnel will be in place to direct traffic, and with the assistance of local law enforcement, fans will be steered toward the fastest available routes along 4th Street and Hardy Street based on traffic conditions.
RV Parking
Fans with RV parking in Century Park North (Lot 14) or Payne Center (Lot 13) must follow posted maps and staff directions for entry.
- Entry begins at 6:00 p.m. on Fridays before home games.
- RVs must vacate lots by 12:00 p.m. on Sundays.
Tailgating Drop-Off Areas
Two unloading zones will be available:
- Thad Cochran Center Lot (12)
- East Memorial Drive (via Hardy Street entrance)
- Ray Guy Way at the roundabout
Drop-off times:
- Fridays before home games: 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
- Game day: 7:00 a.m. until 5 hours prior to kickoff (times may vary by kickoff time).
- Mississippi State game: 6:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.
Vehicles must not be left unattended. Fans are required to follow game day signage and University Police Department (UPD) instructions.
Student and Overflow Parking
Overflow and student parking remain available across campus. Students and fans are encouraged to review the Parking & Stadium Map at SouthernMiss.com for details.

Season and single-game tickets are on sale now at SouthernMiss.com/tickets, by calling 1-800-844-TICK (8425), or by visiting the Pat Ferlise Ticket Office (corner of 4th Street and Golden Eagle Ave.) Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
