
Men’s Golfer Will Burnham Named to Cobalt All-America Scholars

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Southern Miss men's golfer Will Burnham (Jackson, Miss.) earned a spot on the 2024-25 Cobalt Golf Division I All-America Scholars Tuesday morning by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
An individual must be at least a sophomore in both academic and athletic standing and must participate in 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 in NCAA Division I, while maintaining a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2 to be eligible for the award. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.
Burnham, a transfer from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, played his first season with the Golden Eagles playing all 33 rounds and averaging 73.52 strokes per round. He collected 11 rounds of par or below and enjoyed a season-low circuit of 69. His top finish was a 15th-place tie in the Sun Belt Conference Championship.
This year marks the 12th in a row that Southern Miss men's golf enjoyed at least on GCAA All-America Scholar and the fifth consecutive year that they enjoy multiple recipients.
