Track and Field Set to Host Southern Miss Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss Track and Field is set to host the Southern Miss Invitational on March 28-29 at the Marshall Bell Track and Field Complex.
Last time out, the Golden Eagles delivered standout performances at the Alumni Bulldog Relays, securing 14 top finishes over the weekend at Mississippi State. The women took home four first-place finishes, while the men earned three.
The team collected 12 first-place finishes and 42 top-eight showings at the last hosted meet at the Marshall Bell Track and Field Complex last year.
Friday's events consist of the hammer throw, triple jump, and javelin. Saturday's field events will start at 9 a.m., followed by track events at 10 a.m., with seniors being recognized Saturday morning.
