
Men’s Tennis Falls to No. 39 Arkansas

Fayetteville, Ark. – Southern Miss (1-7) falls short against #39 Arkansas in a 0-4 match on Sunday evening in Fayetteville. USM battled hard against ARKM but came up short in several matches before multiple contests were left unfinished.
In singles play, Saheb Sodhi put up a fight against Lukas Palovic before being forced to retire at 6-2, 3-0. Olle Noltorp took the first set against Marino Jakic, 6-4, and was locked in a close second set at 3-2 when the match was left unfinished. Ricards Spaks was looking to mount a comeback but trailed Jean-Baptiste Badon 6-2, 4-0 before play was halted. Charlie Brady was in a competitive battle with Brendan Boland, trailing just 6-4 when their match was stopped.
In doubles, Noltorp and Sodhi were holding their own in a tight match against Badon and Boland, locked at 4-4 before it was left unfinished. Pasawee Reansuwong and Spaks fought hard but fell 6-3 to Connor Smillie and Jakub Vrba, while Brady and Ritabrata Sarkar dropped a 6-1 decision to Arthur Bellegy and Palovic.
