HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss women's basketball hosts UAB on Sunday, Dec. 7, at 2 p.m. in the second meeting of the season between the two longtime rivals. The game will be the second between the two squads in 10 days after the Blazers took the first meeting 77-72 in the Cancun Challenge.
The Lady Eagles (6-3) are looking to snap a three-game losing streak after successive losses to UAB, No. 25 North Carolina State and SMU spoiled Southern Miss' 6-0 start to the Bilderback era. UAB (4-4) enters as winners of two of its last three games, including the win over Southern Miss after a rough start to the campaign.
Lee Roberts (PxP) and Larry Boyd (Color) will lead the broadcast on ESPN+ with Jason Baker, the Voice of the Lady Eagles, and Kay James calling the game on the Southern Miss Sports Network. The Lady Eagle Courtside Pregame Show begins at 1:30 p.m.
Southern Miss and UAB meet for the 73rd time in series history with Southern Miss leading the all-time series 42-30. The two squads have now played in 40 different seasons and in 34 of the last 35, missing only 2022-23 since 1991.
