"I am excited to join The University of Southern Mississippi and contribute to the continued success of Golden Eagle Athletics," said Curry. "Southern Miss has a strong tradition of excellence, and I look forward to collaborating with our alumni, donors and community partners to further enhance the student-athlete experience and programs."
Curry comes to Southern Miss from Long Island University, where she has served as the Associate Director of Alumni and Employer Engagement since 2024. In that role, Curry helped develop and lead initiatives to re-engage athletic alumni, fostering deeper relationships through targeted communications, events, and recognition campaigns.
"We're excited to welcome Kelsey to the Southern Miss family," said deputy athletic director and chief revenue officer Spencer Bridges. "She brings a proven track record of building meaningful relationships and driving results in athletic fundraising and alumni engagement. Her broad experience across multiple institutions will be a tremendous asset as we continue to strengthen our development efforts and enhance the experience for our student-athletes."
While with the Sharks, Curry managed all aspects of the Shark Nation Scholarship Fund, from donor cultivation to disbursement strategies. She oversaw fundraising campaigns, including Giving Day, resulting in overall growth in scholarship contributions to support LIU student-athletes. Curry also managed operations and membership for the Shark Club, LIU Athletics' official booster program. Increasing engagement and retention through member-exclusive benefits, communications, and branded experiences tied to LIU athletic events.
With a diverse background, Curry previously spent time at Montana State working as Assistant Athletic Director for Annual Fund and Fan Engagement. Before she broke into the administration side, Curry was the Director of Football Operations at McNeese from 2020 to 2023 and was in a similar role at Buena Vista from 2018 to 2020.
Curry earned a Bachelor of Sport Management from Alfred State College in 2017 and later a Master of Health and Human Performance from McNeese in 2023.
