Men's Tennis Embarks on East Coast Road Trip

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss (6-5, 2-1 Sun Belt) men's tennis continues Sun Belt action on the east coast this weekend as it travels to James Madison and Old Dominion. The Golden Eagles open the trip with the Dukes on Thursday afternoon and then battle the Monarchs Saturday morning.
The Golden Eagles are coming off a contested loss at Troy on Sunday after a dramatic win over South Alabama the day before. Shamirul Shahril went 2-0 on the weekend to pick up his first wins of the season. He was the only player to pick up a win over the Trojans. Against South Alabama, Dakotah Bobo, Henry Lamchinniah, Pasawee Reansuwong and Shahril all enjoyed wins to go with the team win.
First serve against James Madison is scheduled for 12 p.m. CST at Hillside Courts in Harrisonburg, Va. Saturday's match will start at 9 a.m CST in Norfolk, Va. at Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center.
