Lady Eagles Heading to Postseason WNIT

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Officials of the Women's National Invitational Tournament announced the participants for the 2024 Postseason WNIT. Southern Miss earned an at-large bid to the tournament and will learn its place on the overall bracket tomorrow, March 18. The first round of games will span from March 20-22 and will take place at various campus sites.
The Lady Eagles (18-13, 10-8 Sun Belt) finished the regular season winning four-out-of-six games in Sun Belt play and advanced to the Sun Belt Conference Tournament quarterfinals.
The 2024 Postseason WNIT will mark Southern Miss' 17th postseason appearance in program history and ninth trip to the WNIT. It will be the Lady Eagles' first trip to the tournament since 2017 and fifth selection under Joye Lee-McNelis.
Southern Miss' best run in the WNIT came in 2015, when the Lady Eagles advanced to the Great Eight at Reed Green Coliseum before falling 69-60 to Michigan.
The WNIT will release the seeded bracket and first round host sites tomorrow, March 18.
