Sun Belt Conference Announces League Dates for 2024 Football Season

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – A pair of rivals close out the 2024 Southern Miss football home slate with the announcement of the Sun Belt league dates for this upcoming fall released Friday.
The Golden Eagles are set to face old Conference USA rival Marshall, Saturday, Nov. 9, and then close out the home portion of their schedule, Saturday, Nov. 23, versus South Alabama.
The non-conference portion of the slate includes road contests at Kentucky (8/31) and Jacksonville State (9/21), along with home games against Southeastern Louisiana (9/7) and USF (9/14). Southern Miss then opens its third Sun Belt season at home, Saturday, Oct. 5, versus Louisiana.
After a road trip to ULM (10/12) the following weekend, Southern Miss returns home to face Arkansas State, Saturday, Oct. 19, which will also serve at the school's annual homecoming weekend. The team then makes its first appearance at James Madison, Oct. 26, before playing Marshall at The Rock for the first time since 2018.
The Golden Eagles take to the road again Nov. 16 with a trip to Texas State, before returning home to conclude the home regular season with South Alabama. Southern Miss then completes the regular season with a trip to Troy, Nov. 30.
Game times and television designations will be made at a later date.
