Women’s Basketball Hosts Texas State for Final Home Game of the Year

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Lady Eagle basketball takes on Texas State tomorrow, Feb. 17, at Reed Green Coliseum in Sun Belt Conference action. Tipoff is set for Noon and will lead off Southern Miss' Super Saturday on Fourth Street.

Southern Miss moved to sixth place in the Sun Belt standings after a 57-48 win over Arkansas State. The Lady Eagles held the Red Wolves to 11 second half points and to 4-of-23 from the floor in the last 20.
Melyia Grayson (Hattiesburg, Miss.) moved into a tie for the ninth-most double-doubles in program history after scoring 11 and pulling down 16 boards. Jacorriah Bracey (Drew, Miss.) paced all scorers with 16 points, including 14 in the second half.
THE TEXAS STATE SERIES
Texas State and Southern Miss met for the first time last year and proceeded to play three games. The Bobcats took all three of last year's matchups, including an overtime win in San Marcos.
