Men’s Golf Returns to Action This Weekend at Fallen Oak Collegiate

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss men's golf team concludes the fall portion of its schedule beginning Saturday as they tri-host the Fallen Oak Invitational at Beau Rivage's Fallen Oak Golf Course in Saucier, Miss.
The 54-hole event, which also is being hosted by both Ole Miss and Mississippi State, will feature one 18-hole round each day through Monday on the par 72, 7,487-yard course.
The Golden Eagles are among a 13-team team field which includes nine teams ranked in the later Top 50 rankings according to Scoreboard. Ole Miss leads the group by being ranked No. 2, followed by No. 5 LSU, No. 15 Illinois, No. 22 Mississippi State, No. 23 South Carolina, No. 29 Georgia, No. 32 UNLV, No. 36 Kansas and No. 48 Purdue. The field also includes Iowa, UTSA and Wisconsin.
The Golden Eagles will utilize the team of freshman Matthew Javier (Toronto, Ontario), senior Ryan Dupuy (Baton Rouge, La.), junior Will Burnham (Jackson, Miss.), sophomore Supakorn Amornchaichan (Pattaya City, Thailand), and sophomore Tommy Latter (Mississauga, Ontario). Redshirt freshman Matthew Downing (Oxford, Miss.) will play as an individual.
Players begin teeing off Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. on hole No. 1 and at tee No. 10 at 9:50 a.m. Admission is free to the event.
