Women's Tennis Set to Compete in Blazer Battle Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss.-Southern Miss Women's Tennis continues its fall slate this weekend, where they will participate in the Blazer Battle Invitational hosted by UAB at the Hoover Met Tennis Center. The competition will begin Friday, Oct. 18 with play extending through Sunday, Oct. 20.
The Golden Eagles will be represented by juniors Hannah Chambers and Angelina Blinova, along with freshmen Gagana Mohan Kumar and Jordan Parker.
Blinova picked up a pair of wins at the ITA Southern Regionals last weekend, winning in a consolation singles match and also earning a victory in a pick-up match. The tournament was Southern Miss' first event back in action from the spring season.
Following the conclusion of the Blazer Battle Invitational, the Golden Eagles are prepared to compete in two more tournaments in November, including the UTR College Circuit in Hattiesburg from Nov. 8-10.
