Women’s Basketball Hosting Welcome Back to Basketball on Oct. 21

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss women's basketball will be hosting its preseason fan event, Welcome Back to Basketball, on Monday, Oct. 21, at Reed Green Coliseum. The event will be a potluck style meal on the court as the Lady Eagles practice. Fans wishing to attend will need to bring their choice of side dish or dessert.
Southern Miss will be providing the main dish as well as drinks. Please RSVP to Pam Shows by calling 601-266-6444 or by emailing pamela.shows@usm.edu to reserve your spot by Friday, Oct. 18.
Fans of all ages are welcome. Southern Miss asks that you please have your dish ready at 5 p.m. on the court.
The Lady Eagles will have season tickets, memberships to the Wings Club and To The Top Collective sign ups available for all in attendance.

4 p.m. – Open Practice
5 p.m. – Meal and watch practice
5:30 p.m. – Mix and mingle with the Lady Eagles
6 p.m. – Program concludes

Season and single-game tickets for the 2024-25 season are available for purchase today! Fans can call the Ticket Office at 1-800-844-TICK (8425), visit SouthernMissTickets.com or stop by the Ticket Office in the Pat Ferlise Center on the corner of West 4th Street and Golden Eagle Avenue.
Celebrating 50 Seasons of Southern Miss Women's Basketball
The 2024-25 season of Southern Miss Lady Eagle Basketball marks a major milestone for the program and for The University of Southern Mississippi as the women's basketball program celebrates its 50th season of competition. Following the adoption of Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Southern Miss added women's basketball and women's tennis as official athletic programs beginning in the 1975-76 season. Since then, the Lady Eagles have laid out five decades of excellence on and off the court. To celebrate this golden jubilee, Southern Miss women's basketball will host its 50th Season Celebration and Reunion on Saturday, January 18, against South Alabama at Reed Green Coliseum.
