2023-24 Men’s Golf Schedule Announced

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss men's golf coach Eddie Brescher announced the 2023-24 schedule Thursday, and the slate looks to be another stellar one for Golden Eagle golf.
The ledger includes 11 tournaments in seven different states with one event in Puerto Rico.
"We have done a great job with our schedule for the 2023-24 season," said Brescher. "This is arguably the best schedule our program has ever put together. Our goal is to recruit the best student-athletes in the world. We want to provide those players with a top-notch schedule that will test their abilities to the fullest."
The Golden Eagles open the slate in Choudrant, La., at the Argent Financial Classic, Sept. 10-12, and play events at Cincinnati, Oregon State, Charleston Southern as well as a tournament at Fallen Oak, Oct. 15, with co-hosts Ole Miss and Mississippi State in Saucier, Miss.
"Another goal for our program when it comes to scheduling is spreading out our head-to-head matchups," said Brescher. "While there are great tournaments close by, we want to compete against as many different teams as possible. Which is why we compete in events in the south, along with the west and east coasts."
The spring portion of the slate sees the Golden Eagles return to the Hall Williams Intercollegiate, Feb. 12-13, in Mobile, Ala., and will then travel to Puerto Rico for the Dorado Beach Collegiate to finish the month of February. The Golden Eagles then return to the Dufner-Tiger Invitational (Auburn, Ala.) the All American Collegiate (Houston) and the Mossy Oak Collegiate (Mississippi State) to finish out the regular season.
Southern Miss then travels north to Madison and Annandale Golf Club for the Sun Belt Conference Championship April 22-25.
"As coach, it is my responsibility to provide our team with the best resources to help our student-athletes reach their full potential. Providing them with a first-class schedule is a big part of that. With three former all-conference guys returning and large depth of talent returning and joining our team, I am excited as I have ever been to see where our program stacks up against the nation."
