Track and Field Finish Regular Season Outdoor Campaign in Starkville

STARKVILLE, Miss.-- The Southern Miss track and field completed their last regular season race in Starkville, Miss. at the Maroon and White Invite hosted by Mississippi State April 28 and 29 with four event wins.
"We did our best at our last regualr season meet, gave all we could and I am proud of them regardless of how they finished. A few event victories to take with us as we look toward conference championships," said head coach Jon Stuart.
The weekend victories came from Zayne Palomino (high jump), Keshun Byrd (triple jump), Carlin Beal (5000-meter run), and the women's four by 100 meter relay team. Trinity Flagler, Jada McDougle, Savi'a Varnell and Trinity Benson clocked a time of 44.64 for their first place showing moving them to second in the conference.

The team will head to Conway, S.C. for the SBC Outdoor Track and Field Conference Championships May 11-14. Streaming and live results will be available.
