Track & Field End Regular Season in Nashville

NASHVILLE-- The Southern Miss track & field team rounds out the regular season with the Music City Challenge hosted by Vanderbilt Feb.10-11 with another fallen school record and numerous personal bests.
"We had two really good days in the sprints and jumping events. Some kids are coming back from injury, which has helped us build momentum going into the SBC championships," said head coach Jon Stuart.
Dylan Evans and Mar'Ques McCray bested the previous school record in the 600m for the second time this season. McCray replaced the program best for his season debut at the Birmingham CrossPlex for the Blazer Invitational on Jan.13, clocking a time of 1:21.84. At the Music City Challenge, Evans crossed the line with a time of 1:20.04 for a fifth-place showing, followed by Mar'Ques McCray with a time of 1:20.42 for ninth.
