Beach Volleyball Begins Fall Slate at Coconut Beach

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss beach volleyball begins fall exhibitions at Coconut Beach Volleyball Complex in Kenner, La. The two-day event features scrimmage competitions between seven teams.
"We're excited to get out and compete against some other programs," said fifth-year head coach Shawn Taylor. "This is the first step in a series of many on the way to the conference tournament in Huntsville. This early in the year, we're not concerned about the overall outcome. We're more focused on if we can carry the skills we've been developing in practice into a game setting with the pressure of an opponent. This weekend will have a deep field with lots of opportunities to do such."
The Schedule
Southern Miss will compete using six pairs split across three divisions of competition: Pink, Aqua and Blue
