Men’s Golf Set to Tri-Host Fallen Oak Collegiate

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss men's golf squad, along with Ole Miss and Mississippi State, will play host to the Fallen Oak Collegiate Sunday-Tuesday in Saucier, Miss.
The event, taking place at the par-72, 7,487-yard Fallen Oak Golf Club, will have a 12-team field play 18 holes each day over a three-day period starting at 9:30 a.m., Sunday, from both the No. 1 and No. 10 tees.
In the latest Golfweek rankings, three of the teams ranked in the Top 10 nationally, including No. 1 Auburn, No. 3 Ole Miss, and No. 10 Mississippi State. After 12 schools rank in the Top 135 in the country, including Southern Miss who holds a No. 81 ranking.
The other programs in the field include SMU (No. 29), UNLV (No. 54), Colorado (No. 76), Kansas (No. 92), Wisconsin (No. 108), Louisiana Tech (No. 122), Iowa (No. 130) and UCF (No. 134).
Southern Miss plays in its fourth event of the fall and collected one tournament victory at the Argent Financial Classic last month in Choudrant, La.
The Golden Eagles expect to utilize the team of seniors Robbie Latter (Mississauga, Ontario) and Thongpipat Rattanayanon (Bangkok, Thailand), along with junior Ryan Dupuy (Baton Rouge, La.), redshirt freshman Walker Wise (Tupelo, Miss.) and freshman Supakorn Amornchaichan (Pattaya City, Thailand).
Latter leads the Golden Eagles in lowest stroke average at 70.89, followed by Amornchaichan at 72.78 and Dupuy at 72.79, while Rattanayanon at 72.80.
