ITA Announces Division I Academic Awards

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced its annual Division I men's and women's tennis awards on Monday morning. Southern Miss' men's and women's tennis teams both earned All-Academic Team honors and 10 Golden Eagles were named ITA Scholar Athletes.
The men's team saw Antoine Audrain, Christopher Cahour, Pawin Jirapoomdaje, Olimjon Nabiev, Pasawee Reansuwong and Dhruv Sunish named ITA Scholar Athletes. Collectively, the team earned its highest GPA in program history. Nabiev earned President's List honors, while Jirapoomdaje and Reansuwong earned Dean's List honors. Every student-athlete posted a 3.00 or higher GPA during the spring semester.
The women's team was represented by Monique Burton, Sarah Medik, Alyssa Richter and Clara Tardivel. Burton, Medik and Richter were all named to the President's List during the spring semester for earning a 4.00 GPA. Tardivel earned Dean's List status for her academic success last semester.
To be named an ITA Scholar Athlete, student-athletes must maintain a 3.50 GPA. To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, individual teams must have a team GPA of at least 3.2.
