Melich and Cockerham Fire Career Lows on Day Two of MountainView Collegiate

SADDLEBROOKE, Ariz. --Â Elena Melich and Icie Cockerham fired career rounds on the second day of the MountainView Collegiate as the Golden Eagles sit in 13thin Saddlebrooke, Ariz. The Southern Miss women's golf team finished with a 290, nine strokes better than Friday's round.
Melich shot a three-under 69 to move into a tie for 15thand bested her previous career mark by one stroke. The freshman recorded five birdies to lead the Golden Eagles in that department. Cockerham, a Hamilton, Miss. native, finished with an even-par 72 to best her previous career mark by three strokes. The sophomore had three bogeys to go along with three birdies.
Freshman Momoka Ando fired a two-over 74, while Friend Chompitakdacha finished with a three-over 75. Freshman Jacee Fields improved by three strokes from her Friday round, finishing six-over par today.
