Golden Eagles Climb Leaderboard on Day Two at USA Intercollegiate

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss women's golf team utilized big days from Friend Chompitakdacha and Jacee Fields to move up two spots at the USA Intercollegiate in Mobile, Ala. Southern Miss will tee off for the final round starting at 8:54 a.m. on Monday morning at Magnolia Grove Golf Club.Â
Chompitakdacha, a junior, led the Golden Eagles with a two-under 70 to move into T33 on the individual leaderboard. Fields, in her second round donning the Black and Gold, fired a 72 to finish even par. Elena Melich finished with a three-over 75 and remains the top Golden Eagle on the individual leaderboard at T26. Merche Corbacho matched Melich with a 75 while netting a birdie on hole 13. Icie Cockerham drilled three birdies en route to a five-over 77.
Southern Miss' final round will begin at 8:54 a.m. off hole 10.Â
