HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss head women's golf coach Lucy Nunn Burke has unveiled the program's 2021-22 slate, which starts in Mobile, Ala. on Sept. 4. Â
"This season is filled with familiar stops, new places, and ones that are just down the road," Nunn Burke said. "Each week will be a different test, but I feel that with our group being so young, they are up for any challenge. I am anxiously excited to get on the road, learn with them, and to see how hungry they are."Â
The Golden Eagles tee off at the USA Intercollegiate at The Crossings Gulf Club one week from today. The three-day event will wrap up on Labor Day. Southern Miss will then have a few weeks to regroup before heading to the two-day Hoover Classic event at the Hoover Country Club on Sept. 20. Â
Nunn Burke will take the Golden Eagles to Sage Meadows Country Club in Jonesboro, Ark. on Oct. 11-12 for the Lady Red Wolves Classic. They will finish up fall play at the Mercer Invitational in Macon, Ga. on Nov. 8-9. The two-day event will be played at Brickyard Golf Club. Â
The Golden Eagles will head to the Big Easy on Feb. 13 to kick off the three-day Tulane Invitational at English Turn Golf & Country Club. From there, they will head back to Mobile, Ala. for the Tchefucta Invitational that starts on Feb. 21. Â
Southern Miss will make a trip out west to Tucson, Ariz. to play in the Mountain View Collegiate slated for March 18-20. The regular season slate concludes with trips to Chattanooga, Tenn. for the Chattanooga Classic and then to Murray State to play in the Jan Weaver Classic at Miller Golf Course. Â
The Conference-USA Tournament is scheduled for April 18-20 at a location to be determined. Â
