Men’s Golf Places Trio on Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars Team

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – After being named a Golf Coach Association of America All-Academic team last week, three Southern Miss men's golfers were recognized for their individual work on the course and in the classroom.
Matt Lorenz, Brian Richards and Brice Wilkinson were each named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars for the 2020-21 academic year by the GCAA.
For the second consecutive year, the Golden Eagles had a program record of three golfers named to the team, while Wilkinson earned back-to-back honors.
To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically. In addition, they must participate in 40-percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 76.0 in NCAA Division I, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
The program has now had at least one member earn All-America Scholar honors in eight consecutive years.
