Men's Golf Named GCAA 2020-21 Outstanding Team Academic Award Recipient

NORMAN, Okla. – The Southern Miss men's golf program was honored Friday by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) as an All-Academic Team for having a composite grade point average of 3.0 or better for the 2020-21 academic year.
"To have our program recognized on a national scale is something special," said Southern Miss golf coach Eddie Brescher. "Now to be recognized for the fifth-straight year makes everyone proud. Our staff has done a good job recruiting great people to play and represent our program. Awards like this start in the recruiting process. This award is another reason why I am proud to be at Southern Miss and represent our team with hard work and pride."
Prior to 2017, the Golden Eagle program had not accomplished this award. They have now done it five-straight years.
The Golden Eagles posted a 3.160 team grade point average for the 2020-21 academic year.
A total of 122 schools from the Division I level submitted GPA's of 3.0 or above.
