Softball Falls to UAB Friday Afternoon

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Golden Eagles (21-29, 3-14 C-USA) fell to UAB (27-17, 13-4 C-USA) 7-0 Friday afternoon in game one of the scheduled four-game series.
Senior Karley Nichols took her second start for the Golden Eagles from within the circle. Nichols pitched a complete game but ultimately recorded the game's loss. Nichols falls to 1-1 on the season.
The Golden Eagles saw two hits from senior Heather Hill and freshman Maria Smith.
Next time out
The Golden Eagles are back in action tomorrow for a doubleheader beginning at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. in Birmingham.
