HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Head coach Joye Lee-McNelis announced the signing of transfer guard Domonique Davis to complete the 2021-22 roster on Thursday afternoon.
"We are elated to have Domonique join our Lady Eagle Family," McNelis said. "She brings much needed experience to our program."
Davis joins the Golden Eagles after spending the past two years at Louisiana State University, where she appeared in 29 games, and made seven starts. The DeRidder, La. native averaged 1.4 points per game, 1.2 rebounds per game and swiped 18 steals. She scored in double figures twice in her time with LSU, going for 10 points against Memphis as a freshman and 13 against Louisiana in her first career start as a sophomore.
A near 3,000 point scorer in high school, Davis averaged 25 points and seven rebounds per game her senior season. ESPN rated her as the 69th best player in the country as a four-star athlete, while also being named USA Today First Team All-Louisiana and the Louisiana Player of The Year.
"Domonique possesses a competitive spirit and takes pride in doing what it takes to improve her skill set," McNelis concluded. "We believe in Dom and feel as if she will make a difference in Lady Eagle Basketball."
