HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss softball team will host South Alabama in a midweek contest Tuesday, April 20 in Hattiesburg. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. (CT) at the Southern Miss Softball Complex.
The last time on the diamond
In their last game, the Golden Eagles (20-19) took Mississippi State into extra-innings, but fell short dropping the contest 2-1 after eight innings of play in Starkville.

South Alabama (13-8) leads the all-time record between the two schools 15-6-1. The Golden Eagles are 4-5-1 when facing the Jaguars in Hattiesburg, Miss., and 2-9 at Mobile.
The last meeting between the two
The Golden Eagles and the Jaguars last met April 3, 2019, in a midweek game in Mobile. The Golden Eagles won that game 2-0.
