Brice Wilkinson Named C-USA Co-Golfer of the Week

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss men's golfer Brice Wilkinson earned the Conference USA Co-Player of the Week in an announcement by the league office Thursday afternoon.
Behind an even par 216, Wilkinson registered a second-place showing in the Mountaineer Invitational, hosted by West Virginia University at the par 72, 7,308-yard Pete Dye Golf Club in Bridgeport, W.Va.
The junior from Madison, Miss., shot rounds of 72-71-73 in the event recording the highest finish of his Golden Eagle career. He also helped lead the Golden Eagles to their second runner-up finish over their last four tournaments.
He leads the team this season with 11 rounds of par or below over his 20, including two this week. This is the sixth time in seven tournaments that he has played this season that he has enjoyed the highest placing among his teammates in the final standings.
This tournament was his second top 10 finish of the year, each coming in his last two events.
The player of the week honor is the first for Wilkinson and the first for the Golden Eagles since Robbie Latter earned the accolade on Oct. 9, 2019.
