As a program, the Golden Eagles lead the C-USA in digs (1,629) and hold the second-most team kills (1,341) and total team assists (1,228) in the conference. Kenzie Smith's 1,012 assists are the 10th-highest total in the NCAA and the highest in the conference.
Smith became the first Golden Eagle to tally over 1,000 assists in a season since 2018, following her 50-assist performance last week against Alabama State. Mia Wesley has shattered the program record for most kills in a season by a freshman with 416 kills. Prior to this season, Saundra Williams held the record since 1985.
The Golden Eagles hold an 8-7 non conference record in the 2021 season and are set to take on their second opponent outside of Conference USA for the second straight match. Southern Miss looks to finish the season on a high note, as the black and gold take the floor for the final time this season.
