Men’s Golf Sits Tied for Ninth After Opening Day at Wolfpack Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss men's golf team sits tied for ninth following the opening day of the Wolfpack Invitational, Saturday, being played at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course in Raleigh, N.C.
The 15-team field did not finish the scheduled 36-holes due to an hour, 30-minute rain delay and then play was suspended at 6:30 p.m. ET due to darkness.
The Golden Eagles shot a one-over 289 in the first round with sophomore Robbie Latter (Mississauga, Ontario) leading the way with a one-under 71. Latter held the highest ranking at the end of the opening day by being tied for 14th place.
Sophomore Thongpipat Rattanayanon (Bangkok, Thailand) added an even par 72 to hold a 29th-place tie. Freshman Ryan Dupuy (Baton Rouge, La.) also finds himself in 29th place after shooting a one-over 73 in the opening round, while senior Hunter Atkins is tied for 63rd after shooting a 77 in the opening round.
The Golden Eagles completed between 13-15 holes heading into Sunday's final day of action.
