Three Men’s Golfers Named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars

NORMAN, Okla. — Three Southern Miss men's golfers, Walker Kesterson, Brian Richards and Brice Wilkinson, were each named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars for the 2019-20 academic year by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
The three Golden Eagle award winners are the most by the program in a single academic year and, for Kesterson, it was the second time he has been honored with this award.
"To have three of our players named All-America Scholars is outstanding," said Southern Miss men's golf coach Eddie Brescher. "Walker, Brice, and Brian have been a big part of our team's success in recent years. We knew awards like this would be in their future, which is why we recruited them here. I am so proud of them for earning this award."
To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior academically. In addition, they must have a stroke-average under 76.0, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. For 2019-20 only, they must have participated in 40 percent of the team's competitive rounds.
This is the seventh consecutive year that Southern Miss has had at least one All-America Scholar honored.
