HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss baseball takes up a special cause this weekend when they will help to raise money and drive awareness, Saturday, March 7, for Pediatric Cancer Day at Pete Taylor Park/Hill Denson Field.
In conjunction with the organization, Go 4 the Goal, the Golden Eagles and Little Rock will partner to wear gold laces to support the cause as the day will be titled "Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer." Southern Miss will play Little Rock in the second of a three-game series with a start time of 2 p.m.
Both baseball teams will be trying to raise at least $2,020 in honor of the 2020 season and fans can donate online here, while donation buckets will be around the stadium on game day. In addition, half of the proceeds for the 50/50 raffle that day will go towards the Golden Eagles' money goal to raise for Pediatric Cancer.
