Women's Golf Concludes Play in Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate

NEW ORLEANS, La. -- Southern Miss carded a 13-over 305 Tuesday to finish No. 11 in the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate (28-over 904 overall).
The squad's overall score marked its closest to par since a 9-over 873 at the FIU Pat Bradley from Oct. 21-23, 2018.
Ashlie Hobbs' career-low, 2-over 75 capped off a collegiate debut in which she improved her score each round. Friend Chompitakdacha finished as the team's top performer, the sixth time in as many tournaments this season, with a 3-over 222 that tied for 26th. She had matched par in each of Monday's rounds, and her and Hobbs both produced a team-high three birdies Tuesday.
Maria Toledo Bailey came right behind in a tie for 50th (9-over 228), and her 76 in the third was her second-best score out of six rounds this year.
No. 10 Florida claimed the title as all five of its performers finished below par.
Next up for the squad is a trip to Dade City, Fla., for the Spring Break Shootout (March 16-17).
