Men's Tennis Participates in Walk to End Alzheimer's

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Saturday featured a city-wide Walk to End Alzeimer's, and everyone within the Southern Miss men's tennis program took part as well.
While this year is certainly different due to the COVID-19 pandemic and social-distancing, the cause is still thriving nationwide. According to the Alzheimer's Association website, the annual walk is "the world's largest fundraiser for Alzheimer's care, support and research ... calling on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease."
Head coach Zubin Engineer shared his thoughts as well.
"It's important for our student-athletes to be involved on campus and throughout the community," he said. "Alzheimer's affects so many families across the country and world, and this was an excellent opportunity for our team to recognize its significance and strive to make a difference."
The city's version of the walk happened at the Promise Garden by Merit Health Wesley Hospital.
Southern Miss' spring schedule will be released when it comes available.
