Cross Country Coach Aaron Kindt
"The schedule fits with our veteran group of returners. I'm excited because every year we see some of the best competition in the country, and this year will be no different."
The team will start the season out at the City Auto Memphis Twilight Classic at the University of Memphis, and will then go to Vanderbilt's Commodore Classic in the middle of September. To start off October, the squad will return to the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational before heading to UAB's Blazer Classic. Postseason will see the Conference Championships held at WKU.
The 2018 season brought success to the Golden Eagles. They placed in the top-10 of four meets, including a fourth-place finish at the Conference USA Championships in Boca Raton. The team had the lowest score in school history at the Championships with 91 points and had three runners named All-Conference. At the NCAA South Regionals, the Golden Eagles finished in 11th place with 248 points and had one runner named All-Region for the first time in school history.
