Walker Kesterson Named to 2019 InTouch Credit Union Conference USA All-Academic Team

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss junior men's golfer Walker Kesterson (Hartsburg, Mo.) has earned one of five spots on the 2019 InTouch Credit Union Conference USA All-Academic Team which was announced Thursday morning by the league office.
The political science major holds a 3.878 grade point average at the University and this season has competed in every event for Southern Miss. Kesterson has played in all 27 rounds during the 2018-19 season and has posted a team-low 72.96 per round average.
During the season, he has one individual medalist crown at the LaTour Challenge, while also posting a fourth-place tie at the Sam Hall Intercollegiate, a 20th-place tie at the Lone Star Invite and a 22nd-place tie at the Steelwood Collegiate.
Kesterson has earned a spot on the President's List four times during his academic career at Southern Miss and once on the Dean's List.
This is his first time Kesterson has collected this honor and the first time a Golden Eagle has earned this distinction since Drew Kirby received the accolade in 2015.
The Golden Eagles finish the 2018-19 regular-season schedule when they travel to Texarkana, Ark., to play in the Air Force Reserve Conference USA Championship, April 22-25.
