Men’s Golf Opens Play at 2019 Old Waverly Collegiate Championship

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss men's golf team returns to action Monday and Tuesday when they travel to West Point, Miss., to compete in the 2019 Old Waverly Collegiate Championship.
The Golden Eagles, one of 15 teams in the field, will tee off at 8:30 a.m., Monday with a shotgun start and play 36 holes continuously on the par-72, 7,000-yard Old Waverly Golf Club. The event ends with 18 more holes starting with 8 a.m., tee times, Tuesday.
The teams in the field with the Golden Eagles include Bradley, Chattanooga, Lipscomb, Little Rock, Louisiana, Louisiana Tech, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, host Mississippi State, Ole Miss, South Alabama, South Dakota, ULM and Vanderbilt.
The Golden Eagles are fresh of a runner-up showing at the Ryman Hospitality Intercollegiate last week and sophomore Brian Richards became the third Golden Eagle to capture individual medalist honors this season.
