Men's Tennis Grabs 4-3 Win over UTRGV

BEAUMONT, Texas -- The Southern Miss men's tennis team fought back from a doubles defeat to earn a 4-3 win over UT Rio Grande Valley on Saturday afternoon.
Ronit Bisht and Jorman Reyes stayed true to their form, making quick work of their Vaquero foes in a 6-0 defeat. Reyes and Chung-Han Tsai each swept their singles matches, and Bisht's three-set battle allowed for him and Reyes to each stay undefeated this year.
The doubles tilts also saw two of the pairs compete together for the first time this spring: Tsai and Youssef Tamimount on No. 1 and Tom Cecchetto and Matthieu Peres on No. 3.
The team's return to the win column comes after it lost back-to-back matches for only the first time since March 11-12, 2017. Next up is a battle with Lamar at 12 p.m. CT on Sunday.
