Southern Miss WBB Announces Schedule

The 2018-19 season schedule for the Lady Eagles has been released.
HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Head Coach Joye Lee-McNelis announced the schedule for the 2018-2019 season for the Lady Eagles on Monday.

Our non-conference schedule is challenging as we face four teams that were a part of postseason play. Two of those teams advanced in the final four of their respective tournaments, including Mississippi State which played in the National Championship game. This challenging non-conference schedule will give us an opportunity to better prepare ourselves for our conference games. For a team that has six newcomers, we have set high expectations for ourselves. However, it is important to realize that only seven on our team of 13 have seen minutes of Division I basketball. It is going to be important that we evaluate ourselves after every practice to make sure that we are accomplishing the things we need to accomplish to have a successful season.

What's to Come
The Lady Eagle basketball team will play 18 games at Reed Green Coliseum this season, which includes 10 non-conference games and eight conference games. They will be on the road for 11 games. In November, Southern Miss will be hosting its annual Lady Eagle Thanksgiving Classic which this year includes Sam Houston State, Mississippi Valley State, and Troy.

First up for the Lady Eagles will be William Carey on Nov. 6 in Reed Green Coliseum.
