
Men's Tennis Sweep C-USA Showcase

SAN ANTONIO, Texas. - Southern Miss Men's Tennis swept the Conference USA showcase after a 4-2 win against UAB on Saturday.
After yesterday's first-ever win against Rice, the Golden Eagles defeated the Blazers to sweep the showcase in San Antonio. Southern Miss won its seventh-straight match with all but one match coming on the road.
The Golden Eagles dropped its first doubles point of the showcase but bounced back in singles play to take the match.
Ronit Bisht won his third match at No. 2 in singles play with a 6-1, 6-2 finish. Daniel Merker competed for the first time in singles play against UAB and won his third match of his senior campaign at No. 6 with a 6-4, 6-1 finish.
Wen-Po Tseng continues a dominating season and is 14-0 on the season with a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 4. Tseng now holds the longest win streak in Southern Miss history passing Antonio Rezic who has held the record since the 1986-87 season.
Jorman Reyes secured his third win at the showcase, first on at No. 5 with a 6-4, 6-4 win.
Southern Miss returns to Hattiesburg on April 5 to host New Orleans at 2 p.m.
