Women's Golf signs Maria Toledo Bailey to NLI

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Southern Miss women's golf head coach Lucy Nunn has announced her first signee with the program, Maria Toledo Bailey of Birmingham, England (Bishop Walsh Catholic School).

"Maria brings a wealth of knowledge and international experience," Nunn said. "She is only scratching the surface of her potential, and I am excited that we get to be a part of her journey."

Bailey currently holds a No. 161 European Golf ranking at the U18 level. She also finished third at the English Champion of Champions, and at the Aston Wood has claimed the Monthly Medal, Lady Club Championship, Mary Rosebowl and Ladies Medal. Bailey will join the program in Fall 2019 as seniors Valentina Haupt and Miranda Holt conclude their careers.

The Golden Eagles will begin their spring slate Feb. 25-26 at the Icon Invitational in The Woodlands, Texas.
